Update – November 2011

I want to thank you for your continued support & prayers for the children of Raining Hope Children’s Home. God has been answering our prayers. Our children are finishing up the last term of school. We have had food for the children. Our rent is paid through the month of December. God is good!

January Conference in Uganda

I have been asked to speak at a 6 day conference in conjunction with Amazing Grace Church in Bukiya, Uganda! This is the church our children of Raining Hope attend. It will be January 2-7, 2012. Please be in prayer for me as I prepare. Pray the Holy Spirit will continue to confirm the message He wants me to share with the people of Uganda. Pray for the funds needed for my airfare & accommodations.

Upcoming Fundraisers
Macy’s Community Shopping Day – Saturday, November 12, 2011.

We could use your help if you live in the Thousand Oaks/Conejo Valley! The only Macy’s in Ventura County that will be participating on November 12th is at the Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks. If you live in the Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Newbury Park area, we could use people the next two weeks who can help Raining Hope. I will be getting some coupons to Connie Weiss at Conejo Church to have on hand to sell. Please contact me as soon as possible if you could help distribute some of the coupons.

Sylvia Hernandez is helping with the Fresno Area. My sister, Cheryl Ehara & my friend, Terri Schrader have also taken coupons to distribute in the Sacramento area.

THANK YOU to those who are helping. Raining Hope keeps 100% of all coupon sales. We are very thankful to Macy’s for giving us this opportunity.

Raining Hope Yard Sale – Saturday, November 5, 2011
Where: 79 Yosemite Court – Ventura
Time: 7:00 am – 12 noon
Come by for a hug, a cup of coffee & donut or two!

- Ask the Lord, along with us, to provide all that is needed.
- Donate your YARD SALE items to Raining Hope. We will gladly pick them up before Friday, November 4th. Contact Carol John at 805-377-7387.
- Prayerfully consider giving a gift to the airfare fund for Eydie’s upcoming trip to Uganda.

Annual Tamale/Christmas Craft Fundraiser – December 10th (tentative date).

We are excited our 3rd annual fundraiser! We will have information soon for you to put in your order for our delicious homemade tamales! The last two years we have sold out! We will also have handmade crafts from Uganda that you can purchase to help various families in Uganda.

If you would also like to contribute any other crafts to the event to help raise money for the children, we would welcome your craft creations! Please contact me if you have anything you would like to include.
