Since starting Psalms Ten, God has been showing me a lot about who He is, not only as Lord and provider, but as a comforter and a friend. When He told me to start this organization, I was so unsure about how to do any of it or where the money would be coming from. Because of the overwhelming burden He had placed in my heart for these children, I simply had to obey. I took one step at a time and then waited on instructions for the next.
I was able to learn that all of what we do in ministry is in God’s timing and under His control. I also learned that God does not only want to be involved with us in the things we do for Him, but he wants to be a part of our daily lives. He desires to be included in our work, school, sports, hobbies, whatever. He wants to know the intimate details and be a part of the things that make us happy.

Through this journey of creating Psalms Ten and the Living Hope Children's Home with Him, I have allowed the Lord to become the friend he desires to be to us all. He has also brought many new friends into my life through this ministry. Eydie came into our path by God prompting her to go to Uganda. I'm so thankful she listened. Eydie has been a tremendous asset to our ministry to these children. She came on board as a volunteer to help with fundraising and organizing sponsorship info.

As I began experiencing some hardships in my own life, Eydie really stepped up. Over the last couple of years, she has assumed more and more of the responsibilities of the day to day operations of Psalms Ten. Through a lot of prayer and seeking the Lord, it has been made completely evident to both of us that she has been tagged to assume this ministry. I cannot say that it is easy to pass this ministry off. It has been a big part of my life for the last few years. I can say that there is no one that I would rather see in charge, because I know that Eydie will remain completely reliant on the Lord for direction.

Fitting with many of my other character traits/flaws, I am learning that I am a builder not a manager. I couldn't be happier to have Eydie, Carol, and Sylvia here, willing to stand in the gap and make sure that we have a long term sustainable ministry. I am honored that Eydie has asked me to be a member of the board of Raining Hope and to be a part of the continued growth of this ministry. I continue to hold the children of Uganda in my heart. I am still in love with the idea of helping bring change into their lives which will one day begin to morph Uganda into the country that it has the potential to be.

I would like to give a special thank you to all of those who have supported me in this ministry. Your willingness to be obedient enabled me to be obedient. All of you were used of the Lord to make Himself become so very real to me. I hope that all of you will feel comfortable in supporting Raining Hope as they ensure the well-being of our children in Uganda.

We are so excited for the changes to come and just to see where God leads us. Also, it will be time soon for the oldest of our children to leave the home. We are working on a plan for equipping our kids to enter the workforce and to become independent members of the Ugandan society. Please pray for this process. It is so exciting to be entering the time where we will begin to see a new fruit of our labors and be able to recognize that we have been used to change lives.
