Sponsoring a Child - Download sponsorship form We pray that you will join us as we continue to meet the needs of the
children of Uganda. For the past three years we have been caring for the children at Raining Hope Children’s Home, sending them to school & ministering to their needs. Because there is no free education in Uganda, Raining Hope wants to provide children with the opportunity to attend school. These are bright, young children. They all have the desire to further their education. The only thing they lack are the resources needed for that education. This will give them a hope for the future to be able to provide a sustainable income for themselves and their families. How does my donation rain down hope for a child? By sponsoring a child you will make a difference in their lives. One hundred percent of your sponsorship money will go directly to assist your sponsored child. Your contribution will cover the costs associated with the child’s school fees and supplies. Sponsorships provide the children with the support needed to give them a hope for a better future. How much does it cost to sponsor a child? For the younger children, $30 a month will cover their direct costs each month. The older kids who are in senior level schooling, require close to $120 a month. The older students consequently may have more than one sponsor to cover the higher school fees. How do I sponsor a child? Mail to: We will then contact you with the name of your child & a current photo.

Can I communicate with my sponsored child? Yes, and it is highly encouraged! The children love to hear from their sponsors! As a sponsor, you will be connected with one of the children of Raining Hope. You may write your letter anytime throughout the year and send it to us at the home office. Eydie will take the letters with her when she travels to Uganda. You will also receive letters from your sponsored child at least twice a year. Can I send gifts to my sponsored child? Yet, it is possible. Currently we deliver gifts when we travel to Uganda. This is several times a year. We have traditional gone in January, May and sometime in the fall. Because of weight restrictions, we ask gifts be lightweight and small. We recommend you instead send a monetary gift with the team. Raining Hope can purchase necessary items for your child in country. You will receive a thank you from your child that they have received your gift! Are all of the children orphaned? No. Some of our children still have a parent or a guardian. Many times one of the parents will die and the surviving parent can no longer take care of all their children. They have been brought to Raining Hope Children’s Home so at least one of their children will have the opportunity to go to school and receive an education. They are given the opportunity to visit their families during holiday breaks. How long will my sponsorship last? Your sponsorship will last as long as you feel led to give. Currently the children attend nursery school (similar to Kindergarten), then primary level for 7 years (P1-P7). Secondary school can last up to 6 years (S1-S6). They are 18-19 years old by time they are finished with secondary school. At any time you are unable to continue giving, just contact the Raining Hope office. As a sponsor, you will be connected with one of the children of Raining Hope. He or she will know your name, write to you, and feel your tender love and prayers. Thank you for making a difference in the life of a child. They will make a difference in yours.
